Whispers of Spirit and Nature

About Me

I’m an artist, maker, and creative soul based in Gordonton, New Zealand, where colour, texture, and storytelling shape everything I create.

My artistic journey has grown alongside a full and diverse life. After many years in a professional career and different pathways, creativity became more than a passion - it became a calling. Today, painting and fibre art are at the heart of my work, and I feel incredibly grateful to spend my days creating pieces that bring joy, connection, and meaning to others.

I have a deep love for colour, and this is reflected throughout my work. My paintings are expressive, vibrant abstract interpretations of life and nature. I’m especially drawn to abstract, soulful portraiture and symbolism, exploring themes of identity, faith, hope, love, and becoming. Faces, doors, and symbolic elements often appear in my work, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and find their own meaning in each piece.

Alongside painting, I create hand-felted accessories using luxurious alpaca and silk fibres. I love the organic process of wet felting - the way colour blends, textures emerge, and every piece becomes completely unique. No two creations are ever the same, which makes each item feel personal and special.

Creativity, for me, is deeply connected to joy, faith, and gratitude. I believe art has the power to uplift, comfort, and tell stories that words sometimes cannot.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll often find me surrounded by family, nature, animals, and the beautiful rhythm of rural life - all of which continue to inspire my work every day.

Thank you for being here and for supporting handmade, heartfelt creativity.
